The Indian Team batted quite well for the highest score of the tournament. Gautam Gambhir hit a nice though slow 50, and Rohit Sharma chipped in with 36. Bangladesh began in the right earnest scoring almost 10 per over for the first 5 overs. However, with Pragyan Ojha coming in, Bangladesh lost the plot. A late charge by Naeem in the last over was just too late to have any impact. In the end it was quite a comfortable start for the World T20 Champions.
