England ran away to a 100 runs on board by their 11th over once again within 3 days. But this time they didn’t relax and carried on in the same vein to finish at 185. They could have scored 200 if Ajmal wouldn’t have claimed both Pietersen and Collingwood in the 17th over.
Pakistan began cautiously, or was it too cautiously? England didn’t have to break a sweat as Pakistan never really chased the England score. They almost batted like they would in the first innings trying to set a target. Chris Broad pinned down whatever resistance they tried to show.
So England stay on, at least for the moment.
